General information:

  1. The respective number of places indicates the total capacity of study places per ERASMUS partner. In the case of Portugal, for example, this means that we have one place available for nine months, which can be used either by a bachelor student or by a master student or by a doctoral student.
  2. It is strongly recommended to acquire language skills of the respective  country of the partner university prior to your visit abroad. However,  language skills are not a mandatory.

Application procedure

If you are interested in an ERASMUS exchange, the following steps are relevant in the application process:

  1. Find out about the ERASMUS cooperation offered by the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology and the respective destinations.
  2. Find out about the general conditions, requirements and the application procedure from the International Office at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.   3. Contact the ERASMUS coordinator of the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology (see above) and arrange an appointment for a preliminary discussion.
  4. Fill out the application form available here and submit it together with the documents mentioned in the document to the ERASMUS coordinator of the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology. Please send your digital application via email to the ERASMUS coordinator.

Due to recent changes to Erasmus funding, we nominate Erasmus students from 2024 for the entire academic year as early as February 15, 2024. Nominations for the second nomination date will only be possible in exceptional cases. Please submit the application form mentioned above along with the required documents on time.
